OPEN-FRAME DESIGN
The PowerWatt^TM 75W DC/DC converter series is a family of single output DC/DC converters in a through-hole 2.3×1.0×0.4-inch package. Their high efficiency and power density is a result of innovative patented designs utilizing improved synchronous rectification techniques and planar magnetics. The high efficiency, coupled with a multilayer PCB and thermal management, minimizes power dissipation and allow the converters to operate without an external heat sink. The through-hole pins allow for low-cost installation and act as an integrated heat sink for the converters. Applications include Electronic Data Processing (EDP), Instrumentation, Industrial, Medical, Communications, Computers, and Fiber Optics.

HEAT SINK OPTION (Discontinued)
As of March 2005, the blue anodized aluminum heat sink option is no longer available for this series. Models with this heat sink are not recommended for use in new designs. This change is reflected in the Rev04 version of the data sheet. If you require a heat sink, please see our pin-for-pin compatible Q75 75W Single DC/DC Converter series.
