Bridgewater, MA - Beta Dyne announced today
the release of the SR5 series of switching regulators. The SR5 is a
constant frequency, current mode, step-up converter that features
excellent line and load regulation. It is ideally suited for
battery-operated systems as its power consumption in standby mode is a
mere 300µA. Applications include cellular telephones, wireless modems, RF
communications, battery-powered equipment, telecom/network systems,
lithium-ion-powered applications, portable computers and scanners. The SR5
allows any input voltage from 5Vin down to 2.2Vin. Four standard output
models are offered in 5, 9, 12 and 15V; custom designs are also available
via ±10% output adjustments. Efficiency is improved through burst mode
operation at light loads and high switching frequency, and SMD technology
makes achieving high power density, low cost and high reliability
possible. Features include: high efficiency (up to 94%), wide input range
(2:1), 300µA off-state current, input current limit, undervoltage
protection, 550kHz constant frequency, and 30W/cu. in. power density. Package
size is 1"x0.6"x0.28" in 7-pin SIP. Pricing is $15.90 each
in OEM quantities.
