Bridgewater, MA - Beta Dyne is proud to introduce the latest addition to its PowerWatt family of DC/DC converters. The new Q75 Quarterbrick Series is a family consisting of eighteen models of 75W single-output DC/DC converters that feature input voltage ranges of 18Vin to 36Vin and 36Vin to 72Vin and output voltages from a low of 1.8Vout to a high of 24Vout.

The Q75 series improves upon the open-frame design of the original PowerWatt 75W series with an integrated nickel-plated aluminum case and anodized aluminum heat sink. The new case and heat sink designs--along with proprietary potting materials--minimize thermal resistance from the multilayer PCB to the case. The new case also provides six-sided shielding to eliminate EMI and RFI, resulting in an ideal power source for applications that require very low levels of radiated noise. The converters feature high efficiency and power density as a result of patented designs that utilize improved synchronous rectification techniques and planar magnetics.

The Q75 series also feature an industry standard pinout, 50µS transient response time, 150µA off state current, 1500Vdc isolation voltage, output synchronous rectification, 2:1 input voltage range, input-to-output isolation, soft start, short circuit protection, thermal protection, undervoltage protection, and external synchronization. The operating temperature range of the new converters is -40 to +71C. Dimensions are 2.50×1.40×0.75 in. (63.50×35.56×19.05mm).

The eighteen models offer various input and output voltages to meet the needs of the Electronic Data Processing, Instrumentation, Industrial, Medical, Communications, Computers, and Fiber Optics industries. Units are available 4-6 weeks ARO. Prices start at $98.10 each, discounts available for larger quantities.
