Bridgewater, MA - Beta Dyne's 75W PowerWatt
series of DC/DC converters now feature a new heat sink option.
State-of-the-art interfacing and potting materials are utilized to
minimize the thermal resistance from the multilayer PCB to the anodized
aluminum heat sink. This "HS" series offers all the benefits of
the original open-frame design with an added 20°C higher operating
temperature and 25dB lower radiated noise level. The package size of the
new converter with heat sink measures 1.4×2.3×0.75 in. while maintaining
an industry standard pinout.
All the benefits and features of the
original open-frame design still apply to this new series of converters.
The converter achieves high efficiency up to 93% and power density of
98W/cu. in. via patented designs that utilize improved synchronous
rectification techniques and planar magnetics. Their high efficiency,
coupled with a multilayer PCB and thermal management, minimize power
dissipation and allow the converters to operate without an external heat
sink. The through-hole pins allow for low-cost installation and act as an
integrated heat sink. The converters also feature 100µS transient
response time, 500µA off-state current, output synchronous rectification,
2:1 input voltage range, input-to-output isolation, soft start, short
circuit protection, thermal protection, undervoltage protection, and
external synchronization. The eighteen
models offer various input and output
voltages to meet the needs of the Instrumentation, Industrial, Medical,
Communications, Computers, and Fiber Optics fields.
Complete details of the heat sink option
are available at www.beta-dyne.com. Units are available 4-6 weeks ARO.
Pricing with the heat sink option starts at $109.00 each, discounts
available for larger quantities.
